Procedure

  1. To prevent contamination of analytical pump parts, put on powder-free, oil-free, and particle-free disposable laboratory gloves before disassembling the analytical pump head.
  2. NOTE

Never disassemble or reassemble the analytical pump head with bare hands. Even minute particles of dust, dirt, skin cells, etc., on the check valves or piston can contaminate the inside of the analytical pump head and result in poor analytical pump performance.

  3. Using a 1/2-in wrench (P/N 062336), loosen both check valve assemblies and remove them from the analytical pump head.
  4. Remove both check valve cartridges from the housings.
  5. For the inlet check valve: Place a new cartridge (P/N 045994) into the housing, ensuring that the double-hole end of the cartridge is visible and facing out.
  6. Reinstall the check valve assembly on the bottom of the analytical pump head.
  7. For the outlet check valve: Place a new cartridge into the housing, ensuring that the single-hole end is visible and facing out.
  8. Reinstall the check valve assembly on the top of the analytical pump head.
