Every Dionex Inuvion IC System, regardless of configuration, includes an injection valve. An auxiliary valve—a supplement to the main injection valve—is an optional accessory for the Dionex Inuvion Core system. Users can install, maintain, and/or replace both the injection and auxiliary valves.
NOTE
The auxiliary valve connects to the auxiliary port, which is also used by the regenerant pump. Only one of these components can be used at a time, so you must switch between the valve and pump as needed.
The following kits are available:
- Rebuild Kit for 6-Port Valve (P/N 075973)
- Rebuild Kit for 10-Port Valve (P/N AAA-061759)
TIP
If preferred, you can replace the auxiliary valve “pod,” instead of rebuilding the valve. Replacing the pod is easier and faster than rebuilding the valve. For instructions, see Replace the auxiliary or injection valve pod.
Procedure
- Turn off the pump from the Chromeleon CDS ePanel.
- Open the Dionex Inuvion IC System front door.
- Disconnect all tubing connected to the valve.
- Follow the instructions provided in the Injection Valve Rebuild Kit to replace the rotor seal and stator face.
- Reconnect all liquid lines to the injection valve (see the following image) or auxiliary valve.
- Close the front door.
- Turn on the pump.
