A low-pressure three-way valve (P/N B51001290) can be used for on/off control of liquid flow (for example, to turn flow on and off from a reagent or external regenerant bottle).

Procedure

  1. Locate the Low-Pressure Valve Kit (P/N 22185-60701).
  2. Locate the low-pressure valve mounting locations on the rear of the system (see the following figure).
  3. Insert the two tabs on the valve mounting plate into the slots. Tighten the thumbscrew.
  4. Connect the valve's power connector to the Valve A or B socket.
  5. Install the low-pressure valve

  6. When the low-pressure valve is installed properly, Chromeleon CDS will automatically detect it.

  8. To control the valve in Chromeleon CDS, use one of the following options:
  9. Add commands to an instrument method.
  10. Select commands in the Command window.

  12. Plumb the valve as required for the application. The following figure shows a plumbing example for a three-way valve.
