A low-pressure three-way valve (P/N B51001290) can be used for on/off control of liquid flow (for example, to turn flow on and off from a reagent or external regenerant bottle).
Procedure
- Locate the Low-Pressure Valve Kit (P/N 22185-60701).
- Locate the low-pressure valve mounting locations on the rear of the system (see the following figure).
- Insert the two tabs on the valve mounting plate into the slots. Tighten the thumbscrew.
- Connect the valve's power connector to the Valve A or B socket.
- When the low-pressure valve is installed properly, Chromeleon CDS will automatically detect it.
- To control the valve in Chromeleon CDS, use one of the following options:
- Add commands to an instrument method.
- Select commands in the Command window.
- Plumb the valve as required for the application. The following figure shows a plumbing example for a three-way valve.
