The eluent shutoff valve (PN 22185-63027) controls the flow from the eluent bottle. The valve opens automatically when the analytical pump is started and closes when the analytical pump is turned off. This lets you perform service procedures on analytical pump components without eluent leaks occurring.
Procedure
- Locate the new eluent valve and turn off the Dionex Inuvion IC System main power switch.
- Open the Dionex Inuvion IC System front door to access the component panel.
- Disconnect and remove the PEEK tubing from the IN and OUT ports of the eluent valve. This prevents eluent leaks.
- Unscrew and remove the two metal screws securing the valve mounting plate to the component panel. Save the screws.
- Slowly pull the eluent valve straight out, being careful not to damage the attached cable.
- Disconnect the connector with the blue control wires before completely removing the valve from the system.
- Connect the cable from the new valve to the Dionex Inuvion IC system cable. Feed the cables back inside the system.
- Using the metal screws, attach the new valve to the component panel. Make sure the eluent IN port is positioned at the top when installed.
- Reconnect the tubing to both ports.
- Turn on the Dionex Inuvion IC system main power switch.
- Prime the analytical pump (see Prime the analytical pump.)
