The Chromeleon tray icon appears next to the clock in the notification area (also called system tray) of the Windows taskbar. It is the minimized version of the Services Manager. It has the following functionality:
- It provides an easy way to open the Services Manager window (through a click or a right-click on the tray icon).
- The tray icon and its tooltip show the status of the Instrument Controller Service.
- Its context menu provides a shortcut for starting or stopping the Instrument Controller Service and launching the Instrument Configuration Manager.
If the Chromeleon tray icon is not present in the notification area, start it by clicking Start > All Programs > Thermo Chromeleon 7 > Services Manager.
