To use Chromeleon you must have a valid license initialization code which is included in the Chromeleon installation package. These codes need to be activated within the grace period (60 days). The codes can be activated automatically from a computer that has an internet connection or manually using various methods for computers that cannot communicate directly with Thermo Fisher servers.

A Chromeleon 7 license requires the following codes to activate a license:

  • License Initialization Code (LIC): Provided as part of Chromeleon installation
  • License Request Code (LRC): Generated by Chromeleon to allow activation with Thermo Fisher
  • License Activation Code (LAC): Generated by Thermo Fisher to activate the associated LIC

To activate a valid license, you must provide the license initialization code during the software installation process (Install Chromeleon 7 – main and service release). If you do not have them at hand, you can activate a license later (Activate a license).
