The third page of the processing method editing wizard is the Customize Results page. Use the Customize Results page of the processing method wizard to apply a custom naming scheme to your oligonucleotide components and customize theoretical digestion constraints.
Prerequisites
- For an oligonucleotide analysis experiment, you entered an experiment name, loaded the raw data files and entered the conditions (if applicable), and selected an oligonucleotide sequence on the Oligonucleotide Analysis page. You are editing the processing method using the wizard.
Procedure
- To open the Customize Results page, do one of the following:
- On the Identification page, select Next on the command bar.
- Select the Parameters tab on the navigation bar and then select the Customize Results subtab.
- The Customize Results page contains three sections: Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming (editable), Ribonuclease Defined on Identification (read-only), and Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming Results (populated after the Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming parameters are entered and applied).
- By default, the Customize Results page is inactive. To edit the parameters on this page, select the Enable Customize Results checkbox.
NOTE
The Enable Customize Results checkbox can only be selected if an appropriate ribonuclease was previously selected on the Identification subpage of the Parameters page.
The ribonuclease options "Nonspecific" or “None” are not supported for theoretical digestion at this time.
Thus, if you enable the Customize Results page to view theoretical digestion results, do not use these ribonuclease options.
- Enter an alias naming scheme into the Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming table.
- Enter the appropriate parameter values into the Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming area.
- For more information on these parameters, see Customize Results page layout and parameters.
- Below the Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming section, the Protease Defined on Identification section is read-only by default. This section is automatically populated with the ribonuclease information previously input on the Identification subpage of the Parameters page. If you want to edit these parameters, you must edit the Identification subpage of the Parameters page.
- Select Apply.
- The theoretical digestion results appear in the Theoretical Digestion and Alias Naming Results table on the right side of the page.
- For more information about this table, see Customize Results page layout and parameters.
- When you are finished editing the parameters on the Customize Results page, select Next on the command bar to advance to the Save Method page.
