The second page of the processing method editing wizard is the Identification page. Use the Identification page to change the parameters related to the identification of components in your analysis.

Prerequisites

  1. For an oligonucleotide analysis experiment, you entered an experiment name, loaded the raw data files and entered the conditions (if applicable), and selected an oligonucleotide sequence on the Oligonucleotide Analysis page. You are editing the processing method using the wizard.

Procedure

  1. To open the Identification page, do one of the following:
  2. On the Component Detection page, select Next on the command bar.
  3. Select the Parameters tab on the navigation bar and then select the Identification subtab.
  4. The Identification page contains three sections containing editable parameters: Oligonucleotide Identification, Advanced Search, and Select Ribonuclease.
  5. Enter the appropriate parameter values.
  6. For more information on these parameters, see Identification page layout and parameters.
  7. NOTE

The ribonuclease options "Nonspecific" or “None” are not supported for theoretical digestion at this time.

Thus, if you enable the Customize Results subpage of the Parameters page to view theoretical digestion results, do not use these ribonuclease options.

  8. When you are finished editing the parameters on the Identification page, select Next on the command bar to advance to the Customize Results page.
