In local mode, you can generate and save point-in-time copies of the BioPharma Finder application. The Snapshot feature is available only in the local mode Help menu. In Ardia platform mode, the application files are stored in a server and accessed from the Ardia platform data repository.
Create a database Snapshot
Procedure
- On the BioPharma Finder home page, select Help > Snapshot > Create.
- The Create a Snapshot dialog box appears.
- The application automatically names the Snapshot file as follows: BPF_version_MM_DD_YYYY_HH_MM_SS.DBbpf.
- (Optional) Select Browse to rename the Snapshot file, select a different location to save the Snapshot, and then select Save.
- You can create and save the Snapshot file to any location where you have write permissions. However, the location must have enough space to save the file. The application displays a message if there is not enough disk space for the file.
- Select Create.
- The Snapshot file (.DBbpf) is saved in the specified location and can be used for a point-in-time recovery.
