The last page of the processing method editing wizard is the Save Method page. Use the Save Method page to save the changes you made to the currently open processing method.
Prerequisites
- For an intact mass analysis experiment, you entered an experiment name, loaded the raw data files and entered the conditions (optional), and selected a protein or oligonucleotide sequence (optional) on the Intact Mass Analysis page. You are editing the processing method using the wizard.
Procedure
- To open the Save Method page, do one of the following:
- On the Report page, select Next on the command bar.
- Select the Parameters tab on the navigation bar and then select the Save Method subtab.
- The Save Method page contains two sections: Method Name/Description (editable) and a read-only section summarizing experimental data and deconvolution parameters.
- On the Save Method page, type a new name into the Method Name box.
- The Method Name box is automatically populated with the method selected in the Processing Method section on the Intact Mass Analysis page.
- A description of the method can be typed into the Description box underneath Method Name.
NOTE
If you do not change the Method Name to a new name, the application will overwrite the previous method of the same name with the current method.
You cannot overwrite a default processing method. You must save changes made to a default method under a new name.
- To save the processing method, select Finish on the command bar.
- The Intact Mass Analysis page re-opens.
- To submit the experiment for processing in the run queue, select Add to Queue on the Intact Mass Analysis page.
- The Queue page opens, displaying all of the completed, running, submitted, and canceled processing jobs.
