The BioPharma Finder application provides several default processing methods for intact mass analysis. See Default processing methods for intact mass analysis.
If you are running an intact mass analysis in Automatic mode, select a processing method from the Processing Method area on the Intact Mass Analysis page. If needed, you can use the processing method editing wizard to edit the parameters in the method and save them to a new file to create a custom method for your experiment. The editing wizard lets you specify component detection, identification, and reporting parameters to customize the processing method for your experiment.
If you are running an intact mass analysis in Manual mode, you must manually specify the processing method parameters on the Process and Review page. See Process an experiment in Manual mode.
The following sections describe how to create and edit a processing method using the processing method editing wizard for an intact mass analysis experiment in Automatic mode. While the workflow for specifying processing parameters for an intact mass analysis experiment in Manual mode is different, the parameters described in the following sections apply to Manual mode as well.
