Disulfide links form bonds between cysteine residues in a heavy chain and light chain or within the same chain.
NOTE
You must link disulfide bonds when you process data from an unreduced intact protein (intact mass analysis experiments).
You can assign disulfide links only to protein sequences assigned the Intact Protein or Unknown category. The application disables the disulfide linking capability for all other categories.
To perform a disulfide bond search in a peptide mapping experiment, select the Perform Disulfide Bond Search checkbox on the Identification page of the processing method editing wizard. See Edit the Identification page.
