You can zoom in/out on, reset, copy, and label the chromatograms in the application.

Zoom in or out

Procedure

  1. To zoom in on a chromatogram, do either of the following:
  2. In the Chromatogram pane, drag the red cross-shaped cursor over the peak or peaks of interest to form a box.
  3. Note: For intact mass analysis or top down analysis, first select the Auto Zooming option on the pane title bar to activate the zooming command.
  4. image/svg+xml Draw a box around the peak of interest
Enlarging a peak by drawing a box around it
  5. In the Chromatogram pane, hold down the left mouse button and draw a line beneath the baseline of the peaks of interest.
  6. Note: For intact mass analysis or top down analysis, first select the Auto Zooming option on the pane title bar to activate the zooming command.
  7. image/svg+xml Draw a line under the baseline of the peak
Enlarging a peak by drawing a line beneath its baseline
  8. When you zoom in on a region of the chromatogram, the application recalculates the values on the y axis so that 100 percent represents the highest intensity in the displayed region. The intensities shown on the y axis remain at values relative to the most intense component in the plot.
  9. image/svg+xml

  10. To zoom out on a chromatogram, right-click the Chromatogram pane and select Zoom Out (if available). Otherwise, reset the chromatogram view to zoom out.

Reset chromatogram view to original scale

Procedure

  1. To reset the chromatogram view to the original scale, do either of the following:
  2. Right-click the Chromatogram pane and select Reset Scale.
  3. Double-click anywhere in the Chromatogram pane.

Copy chromatogram to the clipboard

Procedure

  1. To copy a chromatogram to the clipboard, right-click the Chromatogram pane and select Copy, Copy as Displayed, or Copy per Global Settings.
  2. The application copies the entire view of the Chromatogram pane to the clipboard, including all visible labeling and shading. You can then paste the copied picture into a third-party application file.
  3. See Copy and paste functions.

Display component peak labels

Procedure

  1. To display component peak labels in a chromatogram, right-click the Chromatogram pane, select Label, and select any of the following options (if available):
  2. Retention Time
  3. The application displays the retention time with one decimal digit on top of the peaks in all of the visible chromatograms.
  4. Peptide (or Oligonucleotide)
  5. The application displays the peptide (or oligonucleotide) information on top of the peaks in all of the visible chromatograms.
  6. For peptide mapping analysis and oligonucleotide analysis, an asterisk (*) appears at the end of the label if the sequence is modified.
  7. Alias
  8. The application displays the alias name of the component (if available).
  9. To copy the label data in the pane, see Copy all contents in a pane.
