Ardia Platform Data Sync has three pages (Download, Queue, and Finished), a Settings icon, and a Help icon. On the Download page, you can select which folders you want to download from the Ardia Platform onto your local computer. The Queue page contains a list of downloads that are currently in progress or queued. The Finished page contains a list of all completed and failed downloads. The following figures show these pages.

Stop an ongoing download

The following table describes the statuses that appear on the Queue page and the Finished page.

Status

Queue page

Queued

The download is planned but has not started yet.

Downloading

The file is being actively downloaded.

Re-Queued

A previous download attempt failed and will be restarted later. This might happen for the following reasons:

  • The network went down during a download
  • You stopped an ongoing download.

Finished page

Finished

The download was successful.

Error

The download has failed. This might happen for the following reasons:

  • The file was deleted from the Ardia Platform before the download could be completed.
  • You do not have permission to download the file.

You can select a failed download to display its summary, which includes a status message that explains the error.

Canceled

The download was canceled from the Queue page.

The following table describes the tasks and procedures that can be performed from each of Ardia Platform Data Sync's pages.

Procedure

  1. To use Ardia Platform Data Sync, perform any of the tasks in the following table.

Select the Ardia Platform folders to download

Procedure

  1. Under Select Ardia Folders, select Add Folders.
  2. The Ardia Platform Pick Folder window opens.
  3. To locate a file, do one of the following:
  4. Use the folder tree to navigate to a folder location.
  5. Use the search bar to look for a folder.
  6. (Optional) Select to reorder, hide, or show the columns in the search results table.
  7. Select the checkbox next to the folder(s) you want to download, then select Open.
  8. The selected folders are added to the download list.
  9. TIP

    You can double-click the Ardia Platform folder path from the download list to edit it.

  10. (Optional) Select to remove an Ardia Platform folder from the download list.
  11. If the selected folder has already been scanned, you are prompted to either keep or reset the folder's queue and history.
  12. NOTE

    Folders that are moved into an Ardia Platform folder that has already been scanned are not automatically downloaded. Additionally, if you gain access to a subfolder within an Ardia Platform folder that has already been scanned, the raw files in the subfolder are not downloaded.

    To ensure all files are downloaded, remove and re-select the Ardia Platform folder. This resets the last scan date and prompts Ardia Platform Data Sync to perform a full scan.

Set a specific date for Ardia Platform Data Sync to scan an Ardia Platform folder for new files

Procedure

  1. Select the Start Scan Date area.
  2. Enter a date (YYYY-MM-DD) in the search box, or select to pick a date on the calendar.
  3. NOTE

    Ardia Platform Data Sync only downloads files that have been uploaded on or after the specified start date. If a folder does not have a specific start date, Ardia Platform Data Sync downloads all files that have not been previously scanned.

Select a download location on your computer

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. Under Set Download Location, select Choose Folder, then select a folder from the Windows file explorer dialog box.
  3. Paste or enter the file path into the text box, then select Set folder.
  4. If there are already files in the download queue or history, the Delete Logs dialog box opens.
  5. (Optional) If prompted, do one of the following:
  6. Select Yes to clear the Queue and Finished logs and download everything to the new folder path.
  7. Select No to only download new files to the new folder path.
  8. Select Cancel to keep the existing folder path.
  9. The local folder path is updated, and the amount of storage is displayed at the bottom-left corner.

Start a download

Procedure

  1. Select Start Download at the bottom-right corner of Ardia Platform Data Sync.
  2. The Start Download button changes to a Stop button.
  3. NOTE

    The download time varies depending on the size of the folder and your network connection speed. Large scans might take a considerable amount of time.

Stop a download

Procedure

  1. Select Stop at the bottom-right corner of Ardia Platform Data Sync.
  2. The Stop button changes to a Start Download button.
  3. NOTE

    When you stop an active download, all pending downloads remain in the queue and resume after you restart the download. If you want to permanently clear the download queue and history, you must reset Ardia Platform Data Sync (Settings > Reset application).

Queue page

View a file's summary

Procedure

  1. Select a raw data file.
  2. The Summary pane appears.
  3. TIP

    Select Open Local Folder to navigate directly to the file in Windows file explorer.

Cancel an individual download

Procedure

  1. Select a raw data file.
  2. The Summary pane appears.
  3. Select Cancel Download.
  4. Any pending downloads in the queue are paused.
  5. Select Start Download to download the remaining files in the queue.

Finished page

View a file's summary

Procedure

  1. Select a raw data file.
  2. The Summary pane appears.
  3. TIP

    Select Open Local Folder to navigate directly to the file in Windows file explorer.

Retry an individual download

Procedure

  1. Select a raw data file.
  2. The Summary pane appears.
  3. Select Retry Download.

Settings page

Select how often Ardia Platform Data Sync automatically scans the Ardia Platform folders for new files

Procedure

  1. Turn on the Scan Folder(s) Repeatedly toggle.
  2. Select an option from the Scan Frequency dropdown list.
  3. Any ongoing downloads are paused.
  4. Select Start Download to activate the selected scan frequency.
  5. NOTE

    Automatic scans are only active while Ardia Platform Data Sync is open.

Sign out of Ardia Platform Data Sync

Procedure

  1. Select Logout.
  2. The Logout button changes to a Login button.

Reset Ardia Platform Data Sync

Procedure

  1. Select Reset Application.
  2. All stored data is removed, including the Ardia Platform registration, selected folders, queued downloads, and download history.
