The Ardia Platform Data Sync application works by doing the following:
IMPORTANT
The Ardia Platform server must have more than 250 GB of available storage for the Ardia Platform Data Sync application to upload data.
NOTE
The Data synchronization of files in the Ardia Platform Data Sync application is dependent on the platform settings under the Ardia Global Settings utility (see Resolve the Malicious Content Detection Scan error). For more information, refer to “Global Settings” in the Ardia Core Software User Guide.
- Identifies all data files in the selected source folder, either on the Ardia Repository or locally on your PC.
NOTE
The Ardia Platform Data Sync application can upload or download all file types supported by the Ardia Platform. For more information on compatible file types, refer to “Ardia Repository Parameters” in the Ardia Core Software User Guide.
The Ardia Platform Data Sync application will not sync files and folders that are marked as hidden in your selected local directory.
- Adds each identified file to the sync queue.
- Syncs all files in the sync queue, where the most recently modified file is synced last.
NOTE
If a file was synced in a previous scan, it is ignored in all subsequent scans.
You must modify the date for the sequence separately. However, if a sequence is moved to a folder that is already being synced, it will not be detected. In such cases, the user can resolve this issue by re-selecting the Ardia folder and initiating the sync process again.
- Saves the synced files to the selected destination folder, either on the Ardia Repository or locally on your PC.
NOTE
If a file with the same name already exists in the destination folder, the file will not be synced.
NOTE
When the Ardia Platform Data Sync application uploads objects to the Ardia Repository and downloads injections or sequences from the Ardia Repository, the Ardia Platform generates corresponding audit entries that can be viewed in the Audit Trail Viewer application on the Ardia Platform.
- Scans for files continuously with a modified date later than the last scan date. To sync files with an earlier modified date, you need to stop the sync, reselect the target folder, and restart the sync, which will perform a full scan of all folder contents.
