The Ardia Platform Data Sync application scans files that are uploaded to the Ardia Repository. If an unsupported file type is detected during the upload process, the file will fail the Malicious Content Detection Scan. As a result, the file will be displayed on the Finished page with a red error status.

NOTE

You can view the details of the error by selecting the file.

If the failed file is actually safe, you can retry the sync. However, you have to first turn off the toggle that restricts the syncing of files to only those with extensions recognized by the Ardia Platform.

IMPORTANT

The Restrict Upload of Files to the Server to Known File Extensions toggle is a global setting. If you turn this toggle off, then this setting will be off for all users of the Ardia Platform, not just for your user account.

Procedure

  1. In the Ardia Platform, open the Global Settings utility and select the Ardia Core tab.
  2. Under File Management, turn off the Restrict Upload of Files to the Server to Known File Extensions toggle.
  3. (Optional) Under Allowed File Extensions, select Modify to add or delete custom file extensions.
For more information, refer to “Global Settings” in the Ardia Core Software User Guide.
  4. Select Save.
  5. In the Ardia Platform Data Sync application, select Finished, and then select the failed file to open the Summary pane.
  6. Select Retry Syncing.
