The Instrument pane includes the following features:

  • Name display: System or instrument names longer than 15 characters are truncated and appended with an ellipsis.

  • Tooltips: When you hover over a system or instrument name, a tooltip appears, even if the name is not truncated. The tooltip shows the full name (including the PC name for duplicates), a status header (Running, Paused, Connection Lost, Disconnected, or no status for manually added instruments), and the instrument-type badge.

The Instrument pane displays real-time system and instrument statuses using icons. The following table describes each status and the corresponding icon.
