Mark a reservation as completed
Instrument reservations can be manually marked as completed, but the application also automatically marks the reservation as completed after the scheduled end date and time pass.
Note: Depending on the settings in Global Settings (see Configure global settings for the Instruments application), maintenance reservations are automatically extended by one hour if the reservation end time has passed and the reservation was not manually marked as completed. Instruments that are scheduled for maintenance are unavailable for others to reserve until the maintenance reservation is marked as completed.
Tip: If you finish your reservation before the end time of the reservation, you can release the instrument by marking the reservation as completed.
Note: A reservation can only be marked as complete by a user with the appropriate permissions or by the user who created the reservation. For more information, see User privileges for the Instruments application.
Procedure
- Open the Scheduler page.
-
Select the reservation that you want to mark as completed.
Depending on the selected reservation type, either the Reservation at a Glance dialog box or the Group Reservation at a Glance dialog box opens.
- Select Mark Complete and then select Complete.
-
In the Complete Reservation confirmation box, select Yes.
The reservation is marked as completed and the instruments are released for other users to reserve.
