Create a maintenance reservation

Create a maintenance reservation to reserve a system for vendor services or routine maintenance (for example, annual maintenance, an oil change for the MS pump, and so on). If a system has an active maintenance reservation, its corresponding profile on the Systems page is displayed as currently reserved for maintenance.

You can schedule an instrument for maintenance while creating a single instrument reservation or a group reservation (see Create a single instrument reservation or Create a group reservation).

Procedure

In the Reservation Details dialog box, select the Maintenance checkbox.

Note:

Reservations for maintenance are automatically extended until they are marked as completed (see Mark a reservation as completed).
When the automatic extension of a maintenance reservation overlaps with the succeeding reservation, then the start date or time of the succeeding reservations are also pushed until the maintenance is complete.
If a maintenance reservation is completed before the scheduled time frame ends, the assignee of the succeeding reservation receives a notification stating that the instrument is available for use.
