This guide outlines the basic steps to connect your instruments to the Thermo Scientific™ Ardia™ Instruments application on the Ardia Platform. With the Instruments application, you can remotely manage, schedule, and monitor data acquisition on your instruments.

Before you can use the Instruments application, you first need to install and set up the Ardia Platform Link application on each instrument PC to facilitate communication between your instruments and the Ardia Platform. For more information, refer to the Ardia Platform Link Setup Guide and the Ardia Instruments Application User Guide.

Part 1: Install the Ardia Platform Link application

The Ardia Platform Link application must be installed and set up on each instrument PC.

1. Install the Ardia Platform Link application
Run the Ardia_Platform_Link_Setup.exe file and select Install.


2. Register the Ardia Platform Link application
Enter the Ardia Platform URL and then select Validate.


3. Enter your Ardia Platform credentials
Enter your Ardia Platform credentials to complete the registration and connection of your instrument PC to the Ardia Platform.


4. Verify the connection
The Ardia Platform URL status displays as Connected. You can now view your system card in the Instruments application (see Set up your system in the following section).


 

Part 2: Access the Instruments application and set up your system cards

Now that your instrument PC is connected to the Ardia Platform, you can view your system cards in the Instruments application.

1. Sign in to the Ardia Platform
Go to the Ardia Platform URL in a browser and sign in to the Ardia Platform.


2. Launch the Ardia Instruments application
Open the Instruments application from the Ardia Platform Home page.


3. (Optional) Connect your lab to Thermo Fisher
Select Continue to connect. If you do not have permission, use the Settings page to connect later.


4. Set up your system
On the Waiting for Setup view, select Complete Setup on the card of your instrument.


5. Finish setup
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the required instrument information, and then select Finish Setup.


6. Start managing connected systems
On the Active view, view all your set up systems and manage your lab in one place.
