After averaging a spectrum through the Processing toolbar or Ellipsis menu, you can modify the averaging criteria that you originally used from the dialog box that appears from the triangular indicator.

Procedure

  1. Enable the average spectrum from the Processing toolbar (see Average a spectrum from the Processing toolbar ) or the Ellipsis menu (see Average a spectrum from the Ellipsis menu).
  2. Select either of the red triangles that indicate the averaging range.
  3. The application displays a dialog box with options that you can select to change either the RT range or the scan range.

  5. Depending on the option you chose in step 1, enter either the RT range or the scan range that you want to use to average the spectrum as follows:
  6. For RT range, use this format: RTstart–RTend (for example, 1.050–2.227)
  7. For Scan range, use this format: Scan#start–Scan#end (for example, 238–500)
  8. Select Apply.
  9. The Chromatogram view marks the updated range and the Spectrum plot is updated with the averaged scan data. The RT range and the scan range are automatically updated in the range boxes irrespective of the selected option.

NOTE

To undo all changes made to this page and to revert to the previously applied changes, select . The Undo button is active only after applying changes to the averaged scan data.
