Use the display options toolbar to label the chromatogram. The application labels the RT of each localized maxima in the chromatogram plots to two decimal places. When you apply a peak detection algorithm, the application labels only the RT of the detected peaks.
Procedure
- Select the Chromatogram view.
- Select the Display tab.
- The Display Options for Chromatogram toolbar opens.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Labels | Use the features in the Labels area to annotate chromatogram peaks. |
Retention Time (RT) | Adds an RT label (in minutes) above each chromatogram peak. The order of chromatogram labels for an undetected peak, from top to bottom, is RT, base peak, and scan number. The Chromatogram view displays the RT of all peaks that meet the selection criteria. The abbreviation RT to the left of a value indicates a retention time. |
Retention Time Format () | Specifies the units and format for the RT label. Selections: Decimal Minutes, Decimal Minutes with Units, Minutes and Seconds, Seconds, and Seconds with Units |
Decimal | Changes the number of decimal places in the RT label. Range: 0–5 |
Peak Area (of integrated peaks) | Adds a peak area label above each detected chromatogram peak. The abbreviation MA or AA next to a value indicate manual integration or automatic integration, respectively. |
Base Peak | Adds an m/z label to each detected chromatogram peak. The abbreviation BP next to a value indicates a base peak. |
Signal to Noise of Integrated Peaks (SN or PSN) | Adds an S/N label above each detected chromatogram peak as follows:
For the Genesis and ICIS peak detection algorithms, you can choose to report the RMS noise values. The application calculates the RMS S/N for manual peaks. The abbreviations SN or PSN next to a value indicate that the value is an S/N with or without the pharmacopeia method, respectively. Depending on the calculation method, the application lists one of these abbreviations next to the values on your chromatogram. |
Scan # | Adds the active scan number label above the chromatogram peak. The abbreviation S# next to a value indicates the scan number. |
Peak Height (of integrated peaks) | Adds a peak height above each detected chromatogram peak. The abbreviation MH or AH next to a value indicate manual integration or automatic integration, respectively. |
Peak Width at Half Height (PWHH) | The Peak width at half height is the length of the line parallel to the peak base at 50% of the peak height; this line terminates at the two points where it intersects the limbs of the peak. |
