You can manually select the noise region for both the ICIS peak detection algorithm or the Genesis peak detection algorithm. It ensures that the algorithm does not miss any important peaks, so that the results are more accurate.

Procedure

  1. Open the Peak Detection page (see Display the Peak Detection page).
  2. In the Peak Detection Algorithm area, select ICIS or Genesis from the Select Algorithm dropdown list, and then specify the appropriate parameter settings (Use ICIS peak detection or Use Genesis peak detection).
  3. In the Advanced settings, select Manual Noise Range.
  4. Enter the RT range.
  5. Select Apply.
  6. In the Chromatogram view, the application indicates the noise region with a red line and updates the peak integration. In the Peak List view, the application updates the detected peak list.
  8. (Optional) To undo the manual noise region, clear the Manual Noise Range option and then select Apply.
  9. The application automatically updates the peak detection and integration.
