You can define the chromatographic time range in the application that allows the precise identification of the sample.

Procedure

  1. In the Identification area, select one of the following from the Returned Peaks dropdown list:
  2. Select All peaks to identify all peaks in the chromatogram based on the algorithm that you selected for component identification.
  3. Select Nearest peak to identify the nearest peak in the chromatogram within the specified time window.
  4. Select Highest peak to identify the highest peak in the chromatogram within the specified time window.
  5. (Optional) If you selected Highest Peak or Nearest Peak, do the following:
  6. Enter or select the expected RT for the component in the Expected Time (min) box. The valid range is 0 to 999 minutes.
  7. Enter or select the RT window for the component in the Window (sec) box. The valid range is 1.0 to 999.0 seconds.
  8. Specify the component name that you used in the processing method.
