Deleting a chromatogram trace makes any spectrum that is linked to it available for linking to another trace. The linkage status of the Spectrum view changes from CxTy to Select Trace to Link. For more information, see Link a spectrum to a chromatogram trace.

Procedure

  1. Select the row that you want to delete as follows:
  2. To select a single row, select the trace row.
  3. To select consecutive rows, press and hold the SHIFT key and select the first row and the last row of the group of consecutive rows that you want to select.
  4. To select non-consecutive rows, press and hold the CTRL key and select each row.
  5. Selected rows are highlighted in blue.
  6. NOTE

    Each row represents a single trace. For each highlighted row that you delete, the application deletes the corresponding trace in the Chromatogram view.

  7. To delete the selected trace rows, do one of the following:
  8. Press DELETE.
  9. Select Remove.
  10. Select Confirm in the Confirmation dialog box that appears.
  11. To apply the changes to the active chromatogram, select Apply.
  12. NOTE

    To undo all changes made to this page and to revert to the previously applied changes, select . The Undo button is active only after applying the changes in the Ranges dialog box.

  13. (Optional) Close the Ranges dialog box as follows:
  14. Select Cancel or .
  15. At the prompt that opens, do one of the following:
  16. Select Confirm to save your changes and close the dialog box.
  17. Select Cancel to close the dialog box without saving your changes.
