The Import Mass List dialog box lets you import a CSV file and map the CSV header to the chromatogram ranges to create XIC traces in the active Chromatogram view. The application reads only files with a .csv file name extension. The following table describes the parameters in the Import Mass List dialog box.

Parameter

Description

Header Row

Specifies the row number of the CSV file that contains CSV headers.

Default: 1.

File Name

Specifies the path and file name of the CSV file to be imported.

Filter

Specifies a filter type of the XIC to apply to the file.

Mass Tolerance

Specifies the mass tolerance for the m/z of the specified ion. Available only when you select Mass Range under Trace Type. Default mass tolerance for different mass analyzer types:

  • FTMS: 5.00 ppm
  • ITMS: 0.50 amu
  • TQMS: 0.50 amu
  • SQMS: 1.00 amu
  • Sector: 5.00 ppm
  • ASTMS: 5.00 ppm
  • Unrecognized: 0.50 amu

Range: 0.00−1,000 ppm or 0.00−10 amu; units: amu, mmu, or ppm.

Default: 5 ppm.

Units

Specifies the following units for the Mass Tolerance parameter:

  • Atomic mass units (amu)
  • Millimass units (mmu)
  • Parts per million (ppm)

Default: ppm.

Column Separator

Specifies a character used to separate columns in a data file based on a CSV format, such as:

  • Comma (,)
  • Semicolon (;)
  • Tab

By default, the column separator is derived from the User Profile Settings.

Replace Existing Table

Replaces the existing traces with new traces corresponding to the mapped CSV values.

Append Existing Table

Adds the new traces corresponding to the mapped CSV values with the existing traces.

CSV Header- Ranges

Enables the CSV header element to map to the corresponding Ranges parameter.

CSV Header- Compound Name Label

Enables the CSV header element to map to the corresponding Compound Name parameter.
