When a spectrum is linked to a chromatogram trace, the application allows users to create an average spectrum from the ellipsis menu
(users can also create an average spectrum using the Processing menu or from the shortcut menu). After selecting the Average Spectrum, the cursor changes to the averaging cursor. A red line in the Chromatogram view marks the selected range, and the spectrum plot is updated with the averaged scan data.
NOTE
The Average Spectrum is disabled when no MS trace is available in the Chromatogram view.
For an averaged spectrum, the Nearby Precursor option in the Display Options dialog box is disabled.
