In the Global Settings application, you can define the password requirement settings for the Ardia identity provider. As an administrator, you can use these settings to establish password policies, which include rules governing the reusability, expiration, account lockout thresholds, and complexity of user passwords.

NOTE

This page is intended for administrators who set a password policy for the Ardia identity provider. To reset the password for your account, go to Reset your password.

Prerequisites

  1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to open Global Settings application. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role.

Procedure

  1. Open the Global Settings application.
  2. Select the Ardia IdP Password tab.
  3. The Ardia IdP Password page opens, where you can configure the password settings for the Ardia identity provider.
  4. Select the options for the required password setting parameters. For more information on the parameters, Ardia IdP Password settings parameters.
  5. Select Save.
  6. The Add a Comment dialog box appears.
  7. Enter your comment and select Save.
  8. NOTE

    The Add a Comment dialog box appears only if the Prompt for Comments When Saving toggle is turned on in the Global Settings (according to the audit policy in your organization). See Configure global settings for the Ardia platform.
    The comment that you enter is added to the Comment column of the Audit Trail Viewer. See Open the Audit Trail Viewer.

  9. A message appears confirming the successful update.
