In the Data Explorer application, you can delete folders, sequences, documents, or composite documents from the Ardia Repository.
IMPORTANT
When you delete a folder, the folder and all of its contents are removed from the Ardia Repository. You cannot restore a deleted folder nor its contents.
Prerequisites
- Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to delete data in the Data Explorer application. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role.
- You must have the Full Access permission for the folder to delete the folder or its contents. For more information, see Manage folder access.
Procedure
- Open the Data Explorer application.
- In the content area, do one of the following:
- Select one or more items and then select Delete on the command bar.
- Select on an item's row and then select Delete.
- Right-click an item's row and then select Delete.
NOTE
The Delete command is available when you select one or more folders, sequences, documents, or composite documents in Live, Live Archive Locked, or Live Archive Incomplete status. The Delete command is disabled for injections, synchronized folders, or synchronized sequences, regardless of the status.
- The Delete Confirmation dialog box opens.
- Select Delete.
- The Add a Comment dialog box opens.
- Enter your comment and select Save.
NOTE
The Add a Comment dialog box appears only if the Prompt for Comments When Saving toggle is turned on in the Global Settings (according to the audit policy in your organization). See Configure global settings for the Ardia platform.
The comment that you enter is added to the Comment column of the Audit Trail Viewer. See Open the Audit Trail Viewer.- The application permanently removes the folder, sequence, or file from the Ardia Repository.
