On the Roles page of the Users and Roles application, you can edit the platform privileges assigned to each role.

Prerequisites

  1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core privileges to modify privileges in the Users and Roles application.

Procedure

  1. Open the Roles page.
  2. Select a role for which you want to modify privileges, for example: Administrator.
  3. Select Modify Privileges.
  4. The Assign Role Privileges window opens with the Ardia Core tab selected, where you can see the assigned privileges for the selected role.
  5. Turn on the toggles for the privileges that you want to give the role.
  6. NOTE

    You cannot disable both Assign Privileges privilege and Open Users and Roles Application privilege for a role unless another role has both these privileges. At least one role must have both these privileges.

  7. Select Save.
  8. NOTE

    If the Save button is disabled, then you do not have the permission to modify privileges.

  9. The Add a Comment dialog box appears.
  10. Enter your comment.
  11. NOTE

    The Add a Comment dialog box appears only if the Prompt for Comments When Saving toggle is turned on in the Global Settings (according to the audit policy in your organization). See Configure global settings for the Ardia platform.
    The comment that you enter is added to the Comment column of the Audit Trail Viewer. See Open the Audit Trail Viewer.

  12. The Ardia platform makes the specified permissions available for all users assigned to that role. For more information on the available Ardia Core permissions, see Ardia Core privileges.
