Skyline is Windows-based, open-source software for developing and analyzing mass spectrometry methods. It also enables the creation and iterative refinement of targeted methods for large-scale proteomics studies. This software supports the following quantitative techniques:
- Selected Reaction Monitoring (SRM) or Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM)
- Parallel Reaction Monitoring (PRM)
- Data Independent Acquisition(DIA)/Sequential Window Acquisition of all Theoretical Mass Spectra (SWATH-MS)
- Data Dependent Acquisition (DDA) with MS1
You can add an Ardia account to the Skyline software either before importing a file from the Ardia Platform or during the first file import process from the Ardia Platform.
NOTE
- The Skyline software is compatible only with the Ardia Core Software 1.1. Attempting to install or connect the Skyline software to the Ardia Core Software 1.0 is not supported. To access the compatible Skyline software version for Ardia Core Software 1.1, visit the Skyline-daily download page.
- For information on connecting the Ardia Platform to the Skyline software and importing files, refer to Skyline's documentation
IMPORTANT
Assigning Data Explorer privileges in the Users and Roles utility does not automatically apply to external software such as the Skyline software. To ensure proper access control, you must set appropriate restrictions at the folder level in the Data Explorer application.
For example, if you want to prevent a user from downloading files from a specific folder, disabling the Download Data privilege in the Users and Roles utility is insufficient. You must also set access permissions directly on the folder within the Data Explorer application.
For detailed instructions, see Manage folder access.
