Prerequisites

1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to open the License Management utility. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role.
2. You must have a valid License Initialization Code (LIC). For more information about the LIC, see License Management basics.

Procedure

1. Open the License Management utility.
2. The License Management home page opens.
2. Do one of the following:
1. If there are no active licenses, select Add a new license.
2. Select Add.
3. The Enter License Initialization Code (LIC) dialog box opens.

3. In the License Initialization Code (LIC) box, enter or paste the LIC, and then select Enter LIC.
4. The Add a Comment dialog box opens.

5. NOTE

   The Add a Comment dialog box opens only if the Prompt for Comments When Saving toggle is turned on in the Global Settings (according to the audit policy in your organization). See Configure global settings for the Ardia Platform.
   
   The comment that you enter is added to the Comment column of the Audit Trail Viewer. See Open the Audit Trail Viewer.

4. Provide a reason for adding the license and then select Save.
5. (Optional) To proceed with activating the license, select Activate License Now.

6. The license is added to the License Management page.
