In the Global Settings utility, you can create custom file types. These are added to the list of predefined file types on the All File Types page of the File Management dialog box.
NOTE
Not all custom file types might be recognized.
Procedure
- Open the Global Settings utility.
- Select the Ardia Core tab.
- The Ardia Core page opens.
- Under File Management, select Modify next to Allowed File Extensions (n).
NOTE
The Modify button is available only if the Restrict Upload of Files to the Server to Known File Extensions toggle is turned on.
- The File Management dialog box opens. The files here are organized under categories such as Ardia Platform, BioPharma Finder, Chromeleon CDS, Compound Discoverer, and so on. For more information on the file types, see Ardia Repository file types.
- Select the Manage Custom tab.
- The Create Custom File Types page opens.
- Enter one or more custom file types.
NOTE
When entering multiple file types, use a comma to separate each one.
A file type name must not include any of the following characters: `. > / < | * : '" ?`.
A file type name must not contain a space.
A file type name must not exceed 50 characters.
The file type must not already exist.- Select Add.
- Each file type name is added to the Create Custom File Types page, along with a box for adding a description.
- Enter a description for each file type name.
- (Optional) Do one of the following to make changes before finalizing.
- To remove specific file types, select
next to the file type name.
- To erase all entries and start fresh, select Clear All.
- Select Apply, or select Cancel to exit without making changes.
- The new custom file type names are added to the list of file types on the All File Types page.
