In the Data Explorer application, you can compare the details of two versions of a file.
Prerequisites
- Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to open the Data Explorer application. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role.
- You must have the Can View permission (or a higher permission) for the folder to compare the versions of a file in the folder. For more information, see Manage folder access.
Procedure
- Open the Data Explorer application.
- Navigate to the folder that contains the file that has versions you want to compare.
- Open the Versions pane.
- In the Versions pane, select the checkboxes of the two versions whose details you want to compare.
- The Compare command becomes available on the Versions pane command bar.
NOTE
If you select more than two versions, the Compare command is unavailable.

- A new window opens. The Differences page is displayed by default and contains a list of properties and parameters that are different between the two selected versions.
- The list also displays the value of each property for each version as well as the type of change made to the property.

- The Display All Properties page opens and displays all the properties of the file for the selected versions.
- (Optional) Select the arrow next to the category name to expand and view the properties listed under it.
- (Optional) Select
in the upper-right corner to close the window.
