The following table defines the password settings parameters that are available on the Ardia IDP page of the Global Settings utility.

Do Not Allow Previously Used Passwords | Sets the number of unique passwords that users must create before they can reuse an old password. |
Enable Password Expiration | Specifies whether a user's password expires. |
Password Expiration Timeframe | Specifies how long a password can exist before the system forces users to change it. NOTE: This parameter is visible only if the Enable Password Expiration toggle is turned on |
Account Lockout Due to Incorrect Password Attempts | Sets the maximum number of failed password attempts that are allowed at login before an account is locked out. |

Minimum Password Length | Sets the minimum number of characters a password must contain. |
Maximum Password Length | Sets the maximum number of characters a password can contain. |
Uppercase Letters (A–Z) | Specifies whether passwords must contain at least one uppercase letter. |
Lowercase Letters (a–z) | Specifies whether passwords must contain at least one lowercase letter. |
Numeric Characters (0–9) | Specifies whether passwords must contain at least one numeric character. |
Non-Alphanumeric Symbols (@#$) | Specifies whether passwords must contain at least one non-alphanumeric symbol. |
