On the Users page of the Users and Roles utility, you can resend an invite to a previously invited user who has not signed in yet.

However, if an Ardia installation is not configured with an SMTP server, the system cannot send emails. In such a case, an administrator can manually generate an activation link and a temporary password. The generated link and password can then be copied and shared with the user, which allows them to sign in to the Ardia Platform and set their new password.

Prerequisites

  1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to manage users in the Users and Roles utility. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role.
  2. The IdP of the users must be Ardia.

Procedure

  1. Open the Users page.
  2. Select a user with an Invite Sent, Pending Login status.
  3. Select Details in the upper-right corner of the Users page.
  4. The Username pane opens.
  5. Select Resend Invite.
  6. In the Confirmation dialog box, select Resend.
  7. When you save the changes, the Add a Comment dialog box opens.
  8. Enter your comment and select Save.
  9. NOTE

The Add a Comment dialog box opens only if the Prompt for Comments When Saving toggle is turned on in the Global Settings (according to the audit policy in your organization). See Configure global settings for the Ardia Platform.

The comment that you enter is added to the Comment column of the Audit Trail Viewer. See Open the Audit Trail Viewer.

  10. The selected user receives a new invite via email.
  11. The Username pane also displays an activation link and temporary password.
  12. (Optional) Copy the activation link and temporary password and provide them directly to the user.
  13. NOTE

    • Selecting the Resend Invite link generates a new temporary password each time.
    • The activation link and temporary password are only displayed for users with Ardia as their IdP.
