The Instruments privileges define the permissions that a specific role is granted for the Systems and Scheduler features. The privileges that you assign to a role determine which features or functionalities that users with that role can access.

The following table describes the available privileges for the Instruments application.

Specifies whether the user can access the Instruments application.

  • Instruments application card is not available on the Ardia Home page.
  • User cannot access Instruments application using URL.

Systems

Complete Instrument Setup - Add/Modify/Remove Instrument Attribute Details and Initiate Real Time Monitoring

Specifies whether the user can complete instrument setup to initiate real-time monitoring and add instrument attribute details.

  • The Complete Setup link on the Waiting for Setup view changes to a Permission Required to Complete Setup link.
  • The Edit button, which lets users edit the details of a system or instrument, is unavailable on the Instrument information page.
  • The Add button is unavailable.
  • The Update button in the active view, which lets users change the configuration within an instrument, is unavailable.
  • The Remove System button is unavailable.

Initiate Connectivity - Accept License Agreement and Enable Request Support Feature

Specifies whether the user can accept the EULA and enable the request support button.

Only users with this permission can accept the EULA and establish the lab connectivity to Thermo Fisher.

Request Support - Open Instrument Service Ticket

Specifies whether the user can open an instrument service ticket.

The Request Support button is unavailable.

Scheduler

Add, Delete, or Edit Instruments in Scheduler That Are Not in the Systems Tab

Specifies whether the user can add, modify, and delete a custom instrument.

  • The Add button, for adding a custom instrument, is unavailable.
  • The Edit icon , which lets users modify the custom instruments on the Instrument pane, is disabled (grayed out).

Create, Modify, and Delete Reservations for Themselves

Specifies whether a user can create, modify, and delete reservations for themselves.

The following commands are not available in the Scheduler:

  • Creating or modifying a reservation.
  • Viewing the Reservation Details dialog box.
  • All action buttons on the tooltip for the reservation event bar are disabled (grayed out).

The following buttons are disabled (grayed out):

Create, Modify, and Delete Reservations for Other Users

Specifies whether a user can create, modify, and delete reservations for other users.

  • The assignee field is pre-filled with the logged in user name in the Reservation Details dialog box and Group Reservation dialog box.
  • All action buttons on the View Reservation at a Glance tooltip for the reservation event bar are disabled (grayed out).

Create Projects and Modify Associated Information

Specifies whether a user can create and modify project details.

The More options button , which lets users create or modify a project, is disabled in the Reservation Details dialog box and the Group Reservation dialog box.

Delete Projects

Specifies whether a user can delete projects.

The Delete Project button is disabled in the Reservation Details dialog box and the Group Reservation dialog box.

Export Reservation Data

Specifies whether a user can export the reservation data.

The Export Board to .CSV function is disabled in the Scheduler.
