In the Data Explorer application, you can download sequences, documents, and composite documents from the Ardia Repository to your computer.

Prerequisites

  1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to download data in the Data Explorer application. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role
  2. You must have Can View permission (or a higher permission) for the folder to download files from it. For more information, see Manage folder access.

Procedure

  1. Open the Data Explorer application.
  2. Navigate to the folder or the sequence that contains the file that you want to download.
  3. In the content area, do one of the following:
  4. Select on the file's row and then select Download.
  5. Right-click the file's row and then select Download.
  6. Select the checkboxes of one or more files and then select Open on the command bar.
  7. TIP

To select consecutive files, press and hold the SHIFT key and select the first row and the last row of the items that you want to select.

To select non-consecutive files, press and hold the CTRL key and select each row.

To select all the files in the folder, select the checkbox next to the Name column heading.

  8. NOTE

The Download command is available when you select injections, documents, or composite documents with one of these statuses: Live, Live Archive Locked, or Live Archive Incomplete. The Download command is disabled for folders, synchronized folders, or synchronized sequences, regardless of the status. Additionally, the Download command is disabled for the following composite documents that can be saved from the BioPharma Finder application when connected to the Ardia Platform:

    • Experiment result files (_peptide.resultsbpf)
    • Report files (.rbpf).
  9. In the Confirmation dialog box, select Download.
  10. The application saves the files to your computer's Downloads folder in the same name and format.

TIP

To avoid having many similarly named files in the default Downloads folder, change your browser's settings to select a specific destination for each download. For more information, refer to the help documentation for your specific browser, such as Google Chrome Help or Microsoft Edge Help.
