The Thermo Scientific Ardia Platform is designed to facilitate the storage, management, and sharing of data between chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, applications, and the wider ecosystem. It consists of the Ardia Core Software and Ardia Core applications and is also compatible with various external software. The Ardia workspace is accessible via a browser, which allows users to access their data conveniently and securely.
Ardia Core Software
The Ardia Core Software is the essential set of software components and services that forms the foundational infrastructure of the Ardia Platform. It provides the necessary functionalities and services for other applications to run and interact seamlessly on the Ardia Platform. It includes the Ardia Data Explorer and six utilities. Each utility plays a specific role in supporting the platform.
The following table lists the Ardia Core Software components and their functions.
Component | Function |
---|---|
Core application | |
Browse and manage folders, files, and data objects that are stored on the Ardia Platform. | |
Utilities | |
Display audit entries generated in the Ardia Platform such as user access, data operations, and setting changes. | |
Create and manage application registration codes that are utilized to connect Thermo Scientific desktop applications to the Ardia Platform. | |
Define administrative settings that are applied across the Ardia Platform. | |
Configure, edit, and remove the identity providers used by the Ardia Platform. | |
Add and manage licenses for Core applications across the Ardia Platform. | |
Add new users and manage existing users in the Ardia Platform. Define roles, users, and configure privileges. |
Ardia Core applications
In addition to the Ardia Core Software, the Ardia Platform also includes Ardia Core applications. The Ardia Core applications and utilities can interact with each other and share capabilities, such as the user interface, identity, notifications, and auditing.
The following table lists those Ardia Core applications and their functions.
Application | Function |
---|---|
Understand trends and derive insights from your data. | |
Visualize and qualitatively analyze chromatography and mass spectrometry data. | |
Manage, schedule, and monitor data acquisition on all instruments connected to the Ardia Platform. |
NOTE
Although the Data Explorer application is categorized as a Core application, it is a part of the Ardia Core Software.
A valid license is required to access and use the Ardia Core applications, including Data Explorer. For more information, see License Management.
External software compatibility
The Ardia Platform supports the following Ardia-ready external software:
- Thermo Scientific Proteome Discoverer™ software
- Thermo Scientific BioPharma Finder™ software
- Thermo Scientific Compound Discoverer™ software
- Thermo Scientific Xcalibur™ software
- Thermo Scientific Chromeleon™ chromatography data system (CDS)
- Skyline software
These software can connect to the Ardia Platform to extend their capabilities and streamline user workflow. For more information, see External Software.
NOTE
Only the Chromeleon CDS can be launched directly from the Ardia Home page.
