Prerequisites

1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to open the Data Explorer application. For more information, see Edit Ardia Core privileges for a role.
2. You must have the Can View permission (or a higher permission) for the folder you want to open. For more information, see Manage folder access.

Procedure

1. Open the Data Explorer application.

3. The navigation pane on the left displays the folder tree of the Ardia Repository and the folders under Quick Access.

4. NOTE

   The navigation pane displays only folders and sequences, and does not show any other file types.

2. In the navigation pane, select the folder or sequence you want to open.
3. The content area displays the contents of the selected folder or sequence.
4. The application identifies each data type with a unique icon, such as folders with a folder icon , sequences with a sequence icon , and so on. For the complete list of icons, see Ardia Repository file types.
5. Names of the folders, sequences, and the items that you can directly open from the Data Explorer application are displayed in blue text, while the remaining item names are displayed in black.
3. Within the selected folder or sequence, do any of the following:
1. To search the contents of the selected folder or sequence, enter the name of the item in the search box and then select See More Results or press ENTER. For more information, see Search an item.
2. The content area displays the search results.
1. To open a folder or a sequence from the content area, select the item name or double-click the item row.
2. The content area displays its contents.
1. To open any other folder in the selected folder hierarchy, select the folder name that you want to open from the file path at the top of the page.
4. To access a folder using the folder path, do the following:
1. In the navigation pane, right-click a folder and then select Copy Link.
2. You can use this folder path to open the folder in a new browser tab or window.

3. TIP

   You can also use this folder path to share it with other users.

2. Paste the folder path in a browser window.
3. The Data Explorer application opens in the new tab or window where you pasted the folder path and the content area displays the contents of the selected folder.

4. NOTE

   • If you are not logged in to the Ardia Platform, the application prompts you to provide your credentials and log in to the platform.
   • If you do not have access to the folder, an error message displays stating that you do not have permission to access this folder.
