To comply with the security requirements outlined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Guidance for Cybersecurity in Medical Devices and the People of the State of California Senate Bill No. 327, all Ardia Servers shipped from the factory now have randomized passwords set for key components, including the operating system account, initial Ardia Platform administrative user, BIOS setup, integrated Dell™ remote access controller (iDRAC), Ardia Server Admin page, and Grafana™.
The initial randomized OS password can be found in the installation record shipped with the Ardia Server. During the first startup of the Ardia Server, users are required to change all of the aforementioned passwords by following the on-screen instructions.
IMPORTANT
The BIOS password must meet the following requirements:
- Length: 0 to 32 characters
- Allowed characters: Numbers (0-9), lowercase letters (a-z), and special characters <>|-,+./;[\]
For more information, refer to BIOS018.
Access to the Ardia Platform is restricted until all password changes are complete. This ensures that customers fully own and manage the system's passwords to meet regulatory and legal requirements.
IMPORTANT
Ensure that passwords are stored securely. In accordance with regulations and laws, the passwords are known only to the end-user and not to Thermo Fisher Scientific. Thermo Fisher Scientific will not be able to recover the passwords if they are lost.
