Store a system configuration backup file on a USB drive for future use, if necessary. This backup file restores the system firmware to the firmware version that is backed up, in case there is an error or an issue with the system.

For the PAL terminal button functions, refer to the PAL terminal section.

Copy a configuration backup file to a USB drive

You can store only one backup file at a time on the internal memory of the AccelerOme instrument. To have more than one backup file, copy it from the internal memory to a USB drive.

NOTE

Store the backup file in a safe place, if possible, on a net server. Keep an authorized backup file outside your laboratory as well.

On the PAL terminal, navigate to the following path (in User level or Extended User level):

Start Screen -> Options -> Maintenance -> Copy Backup

Select copy backup
Select copy backup

The generated backup file is available.

Steps

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port of the AccelerOme instrument, in the service compartment. On the PAL terminal, select Maintenance.

If not already available, a folder called Backup in the main directory of the USB drive is created. The backup file is copied to the folder called Backup on the USB drive. The file extension is, *.pack.

The file has the following name convention:

Date_Time_DiagnosticsBackup_Number.pack or Date_Time_ConfigurationBackup_Number.pack [Date_Time: yyyyMMdd_HHmm]

Once the backup is finished, remove the USB drive.
