To change the access level, on the PAL terminal, press the two menu buttons simultaneously to access the screen. The User access level is the default level.

Select the desired level and press Enter. The asterisk indicates the current level. When the Extended User access level is selected, you can set a password.

Select Set Password from the pull-up menu. Place the cursor on the first character and press Enter. A pop-up menu opens containing numbers 0 to 9. Enter four characters for the password. Pressing OK to set it. You can change or reset the password only in the Extended User level.

NOTE

The OK option is grayed-out (inactive) as long as the correct password is not entered.

If you forget the password, restore the PAL3 firmware. Use a backup file which does not contain the password. Any changes made to the AccelerOme system or any change in system settings made after creating the backup file for recovery, are not saved.

The Service level is only accessible with the software key, provided with a PAL service USB drive. This key is available to trained and authorized service technicians only.

NOTE

If the PAL terminal is idle, a time-out function begins and after 60 minutes of inactivity, the PAL software automatically reverts to the default User level.
