Do not unpack or use the instrument in a potentially explosive environment.
To unpack the AccelerOme instrument, follow the order of tasks shown in the following flowchart. To verify the package contents, see Package contents.
The instrument is delivered on a pallet. Place the pallet as close as possible to the laboratory table to minimize the effort during lifting and moving the instrument. The instrument is contained inside a cardboard box.
Steps
- Remove the transport securing belt that binds the instrument box to the pallet.
- Pull the box upwards off the instrument.
- Remove the foam molding from the top of the instrument.
- The instrument is now placed on a foam-molded part on the pallet.
- Lift the instrument out of the lower foam part of the pallet and place it on a suitable laboratory table (load capacity of the table must be at least 200 kg (441 lb)). A multi-person lift is required. Use the four recessed grips on the bottom of the instrument to lift it safely.

Heavy Object
The instrument weights 85 kg (187.4 pounds). Lifting it can cause muscular strain and back injury or foot injury if the instrument falls.
- Lift the instrument with a suitable lifting device.
- Lift the instrument with at least 4 persons.
- Remove the adhesive strips from the three doors of the instrument.
- Remove the transport-securing foam part from the service compartment on the left side.
- Open the front door and remove the box containing the solution bottles and other accessories.
- Remove the four molded foam parts that line the instrument interior.
TIP
Keep all parts of the packaging in case you need to repackage the instrument for shipping or relocation.
- Take the flat wrench out of the service compartment.
- Adjust the instrument feet to increase or decrease the height of the instrument, using the flat wrench. Ensure the instrument is horizontally level on the laboratory table using a water gauge. Place the wrench back into the service compartment.
