The instrument interface is the touch screen interface on the front left bottom side of the instrument. Use it to run the experiments on the instrument and perform service functions.
Steps
- On the instrument interface screen, enter the system name and tap Next.
- On the System Configuration screen, confirm the automatically detected time and network configuration.
- If you need to change any of the automatically detected entries, see Set up the instrument interface.
- On the Administrator Account screen, enter your username.
- Enter and reenter your password.
- For Role, keep Admin (the default).
- For password recovery, select and answer three security questions.
- (Answers are case sensitive).
- The system displays an account creation confirmation.
- Tap Next.
- Review the installation instructions, and tap Next.
- Read the Terms and Conditions information, and tap Accept.
- Tap Finish.

Date/Date Format | Tap the date. On the Setup screen: select your date format order of day, month, and year. Select the month, day, and year for the date. Tap Save. |
Time/Time Format | On the Setup screen: select 12 hour or 24 hour clock. Select the time. Tap Save. |
Time Zone | Tap the time zone. On the Setup screen, select the time zone. Tap Save. |
Network | On the Setup screen, enter the IP address. Enter the subnet mask number. Enter the default gateway. Enter the primary DNS server. Tap Save. |
NOTE
Generally, for DHCP networks, the IP address of the instrument is automatically detected by the network. Use the network configuration setting to manually configure the network connection.
