Follow the instructions in this section to unpack, install, and set up the AccelerOme instrument in your laboratory.
Steps
- Unpack the instrument by removing the outer cardboard box. Remove the top foam molding from the instrument.

The instrument weights 85 kg (187.4 pounds). Lifting it can cause muscular strain and back injury or foot injury if the instrument falls.
- Lift the instrument with a suitable lifting device.
- Lift the instrument with at least 4 persons.
- Lift the instrument from the foam molding on the pallet by the 4 recessed grips on the bottom of the instrument, and place the instrument on the laboratory table.
- Remove all the packing material from inside the instrument. Remove and unpack the box inside the instrument, containing the accessories.
- Plug in the power cord of the instrument and connect to the network using the ethernet cable.
- Connect the waste line (from the accessories box) to the waste container or to a building waste collection system. You need to arrange the waste container. Refer to the AccelerOme User Guide for details.
- Power on the instrument using the power switch located in the service compartment on the left side of the instrument. The door to the service compartment is to the left of the solution compartment on the left side of the instrument.
