Ensure to follow the steps below during instrument shipment receipt.

Steps

  1. Inspect the shipping box for damage when the instrument arrives. Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments are shipped by electronic equipment carriers who specialize in the handling of delicate equipment. However, sometimes the equipment is damaged in transit. If you notice evidence of external damage, do not refuse the shipment. Instead, call Thermo Fisher Scientific Customer Service.
  2. Once you are finished inspecting your shipment, move the box to the installation site. If the Thermo Fisher Scientific Field Service Engineer (FSE) is doing the installation, do not unpack or open the box without the FSE present.
  3. Complete the installation request form at the front of this guide and forward it to the Thermo Fisher Scientific IES concierge team.

After the installation form is received, Thermo Fisher Scientific customer support will contact you to schedule the installation of your system. Ensure that all the requirements on the form are met before the FSE arrives. The FSE will install the system and confirm that all performance tests pass.

NOTE

The above statement applies only in cases where the FSE performs the installation.
